The €25 million round, which was closed and announced last June, now translates into an acceleration in recruitment for Jet HR, a scale-up founded by Marco Ogliengo and Francesco Scalambrino with the aim of reducing bureaucracy in the world of work, with a development plan that envisages the hiring of 80 new people by the end of 2025.
The growth of the team marks a strategic step forward in the development of ten new modules to further reduce bureaucracy for the more than 700 client companies already using Jet HR and the many new ones that are coming on board. The company is tackling this challenge by seeking out and attracting the best talent capable of sharing their experience and knowledge with the team of 110 people, which is set to double in size over the next 18 months.
Among the new additions is Nick Miller, former sales director at PayFit, a French unicorn specialising in the digitisation of HR and payroll services, who takes on the role of chief revenue officer and responsibility for marketing and sales.
“Highly valued professionals attract and know other highly valued profiles,” Ogliengo comments in a note. “It is very difficult in Italy to find managers who have personally experienced company growth exceeding 300% per annum. That’s why we feel very fortunate to have Nick with us. Not only did he contribute to the growth of a French unicorn company in the payroll sector, taking it from 100 to 700 employees, but he was also the founder of another company operating in the HR sector. With such extensive experience and expertise, his arrival represents a strategic step forward for us in building an ever-larger and higher-level team, as befits a project with our level of ambition. Jet HR aims to be a true operating system for Italian SMEs to function and grow rapidly, with dozens of products designed to relieve them of the burden of bureaucracy. Each new module requires many dedicated developers, whom we plan to hire very quickly. AI makes our teams more productive, which is why we are hiring more: each developer has a greater impact, accelerating our ability to bring solutions to market.
“I am thrilled to be joining Jet HR at such a strategic time for the company’s growth. My experience in business scalability has taught me that the real game changer is when ambition is combined with extraordinary execution capabilities,” says Miller (pictured). These are the two ingredients that, knowing the sector inside out, I immediately recognised in Jet HR, and I am thrilled to be able to contribute to bringing to the Italian market all the value of simplification that the founders intend to generate for businesses.
For the first 80 new hires, the most sought-after profiles include developers with cross-functional skills, designers and business developers. With the aim of creating a cohesive team that is strongly committed to the company’s success, Jet HR has launched a stock option plan for all employees since its inception. . Furthermore, both to enable selection from among the best resources on the market and to confirm an approach based on trust and empowerment, Jet HR offers a high degree of flexibility and customisation in its working methods. Developers and payroll specialists work entirely remotely, while other functions follow hybrid or in-person models, with full autonomy in organising activities tailored to the specific needs of each team.
