HEU, a start-up that simplifies legal management for small and medium-sized enterprises, has announced that it has closed a seed round worth €1.1 million. Fil Rouge Capital is leading the operation. investment fund based in Croatia. Fin+Tech, the fintech and insurtech accelerator of CDP Venture Capital’s National Accelerator Network, promoted by Zest, Startupbootcamp, Gruppo Credem, Nexi, as well as Zest and Lazio Innova, the latter through the Innova Venture fund of the Lazio Region financed by the POR FESR 2014/2020, also participated in the investment round.
HEU enables SMEs and micro-enterprises to create, review, send and sign contracts quickly and easily, thanks to a virtual legal assistant powered by artificial intelligence that reduces the time, cost and complexity of contract management.
With the support of investors, HEU, which has its headquarters in Naples, has opened new offices in Zagreb, Croatia, and Rome, and is planning an ambitious international expansion. The funds raised will be used to further enhance the product, improve AI performance and leverage a unique asset in Europe: the largest Italian database of legally usable contracts, consisting of over 300,000 documents, used to train artificial intelligence models tailored to the needs of businesses.
The platform has already won the trust of more than 250 client companies and has over 60,000 active users, including entrepreneurs, professionals and legal teams.
