Tutornow, a startup specialising in digital solutions for education and training, announces that it has closed a EUR 1 million funding round. The deal was led by entrepreneur Mario Peveraro, co-founder of ONE4, a company that deals, also for Tutornow, with cybersecurity, AI, business intelligence and data analysis. Added to this investment is the support of Techstars, where the startup held its acceleration programme in 2023, Invitalia, through the Smart&Start call, and Kf-invest, which are entering the company’s equity along with other strategic investors.
Founded in 2021 by Riccardo Sciortino, Nicola De Carlo, Andrei Braila and Luca Dei Rossi, Tutornow develops a digital platform that makes learning more accessible and effective, thanks to an approach based on customised lessons and interactive tools. The aim is to support students and families in improving school performance through targeted tutoring, language certifications, remedial learning and skills enhancement, as well as offering B2B training solutions for companies, including corporate welfare.
In recent years, Tutornow has experienced significant growth, both from an economic point of view, with a turnover increase of +100% YoY, and in terms of employment. Starting with the four founding partners (pictured), today the startup has a team of 30 people, with expansion plans that include strategic new hires in the coming months to strengthen the commercial, operational, technological and financial areas. Thanks to the collaboration with certified and carefully selected tutors, Tutornow is also a point of reference for students with DSA and BES and their families, to whom it can guarantee a personalised educational approach enhanced by the simple and intuitive experience of its lesson platform, as well as by the consolidated experience of the educational coordination theme.
Since its inception, Tutornow has already delivered more than 150,000 hours of lessons, involving a network of more than 15,000 highly qualified tutors. These numbers testify not only to the success of the platform, but also to the growing need for flexible and digitised learning solutions.
“This funding round represents a key moment for Tutornow: it will enable us to accelerate our growth, invest further in technology, AI and expand our impact in the digital education and training sector. We firmly believe that personalised learning, supported by innovative tools, can make a difference for students, families and businesses, making education more accessible, effective and tailored to everyone’s needs. We are thrilled to be able to count on the support of top-notch investors who share our vision and commitment,’ said Riccardo Sciortino, co-founder and CEO, and Nicola De Carlo, co-founder and CFO, in a note.
Looking to the future, Tutornow is preparing to scale up with the aim of consolidating its position in the Italian digital education market and expanding its reach with new technological solutions and services. On the technological side, the startup is developing an algorithm based on artificial intelligence to optimise the match between tutor and student, ensuring a highly personalised experience and further improving the quality of the service offered. In parallel, Tutornow is also strengthening its offering in the B2B sector, through welfare services supporting employees’ families and a dedicated training service offering tailor-made learning programmes. Today Tutornow is in fact present in the main corporate welfare platforms, including important names such as Edenred and Double You of the Zucchetti group, and has already implemented corporate welfare programmes directly with some important Italian companies.
