Creative Harbour, a new piece in Cosmico’s acquisition strategy

Cosmico, a platform connecting over 27,000 digital professionals with companies and organisations seeking talent, has announced that it has completed the acquisition of 100% of Creative Harbour, a company specialising in corporate retreats for start-ups and large corporations, and in creating experiences for freelancers.

Following the acquisitions of Bioss, the centre of technological excellence focused on digital transformation, and Flatmates, Marcello Ascani and Michele Pagani‘s content creator agency, Cosmico is taking a further strategic step to bring its community approach into companies and expand the range of experiences offered to their employees.

The Italian scale-up founded by Francesco Marino, Simone Tornabene and Matteo Roversi, which sees the future of work as a global community of talent, aims to facilitate a profound transformation of organisations: from hierarchical structures to distributed networks of autonomous teams, united by a shared purpose.

The combination of the two companies will also enable Cosmico to acquire strategic skills to strengthen its team and improve the quality of the experience offered to its global community of over 27,000 talents, consolidating an ecosystem capable of promoting a more flexible, meaningful and productive way of working.

“The work of the future is not just about digital platforms and algorithms, but also about physical places and relationships. Creative Harbour shares our belief that community is the driving force behind growth, training and professional well-being. This acquisition makes Cosmico the largest freelance community in Italy and allows us to bring the community approach into companies for their employees,” comments Francesco Marino, CEO and co-founder of Cosmico (pictured with the team), in a statement.

Creative Harbour, founded in 2021 by Simone Lattanzi, Matteo Marchesano and Alessandro Renna, is aimed at freelancers, start-ups and creative professionals.

The company designs experiences to help businesses unite, inspire and strengthen their teams, and organises immersive remote working programmes around the world, designed for talented individuals and freelancers. Among the companies that have relied on Creative Harbour are Velasca, JetHR, Reply, and Dove.it. Since 2021, Creative Harbour has created a community of over 30,000 digital professionals and has accompanied more than 2,000 of them in remote work experiences around the world.

“We are delighted to be joining Cosmico. We share the same vision: creating communities is not just a way of working, but a competitive advantage for freelance professionals, companies and their employees alike. Together, we will be able to create even more engaging experiences, bringing Creative Harbour’s expertise in corporate retreats and freelance experiences to an ever-wider audience,” says Simone Lattanzi, CEO of Creative Harbour.

The transaction, the financial terms of which have not been disclosed, is part of the Cosmico Group’s development plan, which aims to achieve €20 million in revenue from organic growth by 2025, to which Creative Harbour’s figures will be added.
