AndromedAI’s AI solutions for e-commerce raise €1.1 million

AndromedAI, a start-up specialising in optimising e-commerce product catalogues using artificial intelligence, has announced that it has closed an investment round with a total of €1.1 million raised.

The capital increase saw the participation of lead investor The Techshop, through the Techshop I fund (supported by CDP Venture Capital’s PNRR Digital Transition Fund, through resources allocated by the NextGenerationEU initiative), the members of the Investors’ Club through Simon Fiduciaria, Nana Bianca, as well as various business angels active in the e-commerce sector.

The capital will be used primarily to enhance the technology platform, with the aim of further improving the positioning of e-commerce sites on Google and optimising them for AI search engines, alongside a commercial expansion plan in domestic and international markets.

Since its establishment, AndromedAI has completed over one hundred catalogue optimisation projects with sales increases of up to 30% and has consolidated its position in the Italian market, counting among its clients some of the leading Italian e-commerce players and the most important consulting firms and digital agencies in the sector.

AndromedAI was founded by Alberto Barberis, Francesco Burelli, Vairo Di Pasquale and Stefano Orlando. AndromedAI was created to simplify and streamline the optimisation of e-commerce product catalogues through technological innovation based on artificial intelligence.

The technology automatically generates optimised content for e-commerce, improving product pages so that they are easily found and recommended by both traditional search engines and AI-based ones such as ChatGPT, Claude and Google AI Mode.

Thanks to its experience in managing tens of millions of euros in e-commerce marketing investments, the AndromedAI team works alongside e-commerce businesses, supporting them with an innovative approach in Italy that enables e-commerce companies to improve the performance of their catalogues while maintaining brand consistency and increasing traffic and conversions.

The next 12-18 months will see AndromedAI consolidate its position in the AI optimisation of e-commerce catalogues on the Italian market, aiming to become the go-to technology partner for brands and retailers who want to maximise performance on traditional digital channels and new AI-based shopping ecosystems.

“With this capital increase, we are accelerating our growth roadmap at a time of fundamental transformation for the e-commerce world, characterised by profound changes in the way consumers search for and discover new products online thanks to artificial intelligence. On the one hand, we want to strengthen our role in Italy in optimising online catalogues, offering brands and retailers concrete tools to maximise performance on traditional channels; on the other hand, we intend to progressively open up new foreign markets, becoming a point of reference for those who want to seize opportunities for visibility and sales in new AI ecosystems. The investment allows us to further enhance our proprietary platform, making it increasingly scalable and ready to anticipate changes in the sector,” said Alberto Barberis, CEO of AndromedAI, pictured here with the team, in a statement.

“What impressed us most was the speed with which Alberto and his team managed to bring a solution to market that guarantees tangible performance in multiple verticals, just a few months after the project was launched, demonstrating the excellent mix of skills between AI and e-commerce marketing,” says Gianluca D’Agostino, The Techshop . “The e-commerce sector is undergoing a period of technological transformation, and solutions such as those offered by AndromedAI guarantee brands and retailers greater competitiveness and operational efficiency. At Techshop, we are delighted to be leading this operation and supporting the company in the next stages of strengthening its technological platform through the development of new modules and the enhancement of commercial activities.”
