AdHub media, the company that publishes notizie.it and is now wholly owned by scaleup Contents, is up for sale. According to rumours, the scaleup intends to focus its activities on developing tools for companies that use artificial intelligence and thus wants to streamline its structure and sell its news and media division, which it currently manages entirely.
notizie.it is a collection of registered newspapers that publishes content of various kinds and in different languages, and was the embryo of what later became Contents. notizie.it was founded in 2017, while Contents took shape in 2021, shifting its business model towards software for the business world, which now accounts for the majority of the company’s business.
notizie.it accounts for approximately 20% of Contents’ total business, which is worth around €10 million overall. The business has already achieved economic sustainability and employs around ten people. notizie.it includes assets relating to newspapers and their domains, the proprietary platform, the artificial intelligence content generation system and the advertising agency.
AdHub Media is now officially on the market, and several expressions of interest, both from Italy and abroad, have been submitted to the Contents board of directors, which has given the green light to the transaction, although it is still too early to know who the buyer will be and when the company will be valued, and therefore the total value of the transaction.
